The pt reported that he suffered neurological damages due to the use of super poligrip powder (it was noted that the pt also used super poligrip cream). A couple of months prior to the report, the pt experienced what he thought was a sore throat which lasted approx five weeks. The pain in his throat would not go away. • I got my dentures in late 1996 or early 1997. I began using poligrip as soon as the swelling subsided in my gums - early 1997-. In the spring of 2004, i started passing out at work on several occasions. My doctor referred me to a specialist who diagnosed me with anemia. In 2004, numbness and tingling began occurring in my feet and up my legs. I was then referred to a neurologist who completed a variety of tests - spinal tap, bone marrow scan, mris of neck & spine, electrostimulus, blood work, etc. - and could not come to any diagnostic conclusions. He referred me to a multiple sclerosis specialist at the hospital, who ran tests for metals in my blood. He discovered extremely low levels of copper and high levels of zinc and diagnosed me with cervical malopathy.
  • I used poligrip from approximately 1998 until 2008. While i was using poligrip, i began experiencing numbness and tingling in my extremities. The same month, i was diagnosed with neuropathy. Blood tests taken at that time showed that i had low levels of copper and high levels of zinc in my blood. My neuropathy is permanent and requires continued medical care and treatment.
